Dear brethren, I greet you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ whom all blessings come from, praise the Lord! I congratulate the Anglican community – the GAFCON Conference held in Kigali Rwanda up on the position taken against homosexuality; praise the Lord. As we are in this era, let’s meditate upon His sole purpose of shameless death. In (John 10:10), Jesus came that we have abundant life, but the Devil’s intention is to steal, kill and destroy. This is an assurance that we should keep focused on holistic life- life in abundance. Holistic life includes all aspects of life. Social, Spiritual and Economic empowerment. Socially, we should live in harmony with all people regardless of our status; in the family, work places and in community. Spiritually, we should examine ourselves to see whether we still walk in the light for example repentance and forgiveness. (1 Cor 5:17). Economically; to work hard to meet the basics of life and in critical observance of spirituality. In this regard therefore, we should fully get to know that the purpose and mission of Jesus is for us to be transformed.
I therefore call upon all the believers not only Kinoni Community but the entire Diocese and beyond, to always think and work hard to adhere to His purpose and mission. (Matthew 14:24). In conclusion, I want to extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation to our lord Bishop Stephen and Mama Lydia Namanya, for the excellent and wise leadership exhibited.
He has been a blessing to us and will remain a special leader in our Diocese because of his innovations and creativity that have made him a unique person and leader of our times. Lastly, our Diocese was lucky to have Bishop John Muhanguzi as the pioneer and having Bishop Stephen as his successor as an added blessing. Fellow brethren, Laity and Clergy, let’s keep the fire at the Alter burning. (Lev 6:9).
May the Almighty God bless and lead you until the end.
